The Instituto de Estudios Internacionales (IDEI-Bolivia) is a nonprofit association founded on November 25, 2000 in Cochabamba, Bolivia, with a mission is to serve as an academic institution for legal research on issues related to international and domestic law and Bolivia's international relations and its public and private agencies. IDEI-Bolivia is made up of undergraduate and graduate professors and college students mostly from the Universidad Mayor de San Simón, who are interested in international law, integration, administrative law, and public law in general as well as other issues related to the national reality. It also includes individuals trained in political science and economics. Through research and teaching activities, IDEI-Bolivia organizes various forums and meetings that provide a stage for academic interaction between teachers and students. Its programs include the Teacher Support program that evaluates activities related to teaching and research. Additionally, IDEI-Bolivia stages its annual National Convention on International Law. Focusing on a range of themes relating to International Law and Affairs, it attracts some 400 participants. The 7th – and this year’s – convention will be held on October 7th at La Escuela De Aplicación De Armas Y Tecnológica in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
