It mainly focuses in the production, processing and export of these. Naturalcos is a subsidiary of the Alcos Group, one of the most important pharmaceutical companies in Bolivia. In 2002, Alcos Group created in 2002 a family health preventive program called "SEMBRANDO SALUD"​ (sowing health) as a member of the Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEDES-Bolivia). This initiative is a private entrepreneurship that has the aim of designing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, which contribute to improving the quality of life of Bolivians local farmers in the context of sustainable development. All the plants and herbal resources used by Naturalcos are produced by local farmers, and these last receive a percentage of the finale sale (inclusive business model). Naturalcos was born as a result of growth and progress of Alcos Group SA in search of a business development model that integrates health with nutritious, through the production of Andean cereals and energizing products, based on the ancient knowledge and demand for a competitive market. The model aims to support the sustainable management of natural resources in Bolivia, incorporating Andean communities, based on the logic of the development of inclusive business whose pillar is the “Win – Win”. By making a real impact on the rural communities, Naturalcos work with local bolivian producers to deliver sustainably, organic agricultural products with high nutritional value.
